Mosaic tiles are commonly used for various tiling applications. Their use varies
from kitchen splash backs, bathroom features, and too fully tiled pools.
They can come in various materials, sizes, shapes and textures. The
correct use of mosaics can add that final defining touch to a bathroom as well
as the timeless look of a pool lined in glass mosaics. The most important
facet is knowing which mosaic best suits the application you have in mind.
At Kalafrana Ceramic's Sydney Showroom we have on display mosaics in glass, porcelain,
marble, natrural stone, and combinations of the above. We can also
have certain glass lines mixed in accordance to the look you desire.
Mosaics
make a cost effective feature wall in bathrooms. A number of
sheets can be placed together to make a feature panel or whole wall. This works for all
types of mosaics, the limiting factor being the thickness of the tile you use
the mosaic with - when on a common wall.
Glass Mosaics are extensively
used for pool linings. We take time to explain to our clients the key
differences when selecting a mosaic for pools. Not all mosaics are suitable for this application.
At Kalafrana Ceramics we make sure a mosaic that meets Australian Standards for
full water submersion is used. There are countless stories of mosaics lifting
and popping off walls in pools - with no easy fix. We only sell mosaics
for pools that we guarantee are for that application.
