At Kalafrana Ceramics we import all our own Mediterranean wall and floor tiles. These Spanish tiles are made for those who love the look and feel of handmade patterned cement encaustic decorative tiles, antique artisan tiles, coastal beach house designs, modern mediterranean, country farmhouse look, rustic look, zellige tile designs, retro styled and handmade tiles.
We only sell the Spanish tiles. Unlike other lesser quality versions on the market, the print does not look layered on top, little to no cushion/radius on the edge of the tile, no Framing occurs. Framing is when the print does not go all the way to the edge of the tile. Always check for these issues when comparing tiles. Another very important factor is the number of faces of the tiles. A face is a unique print on the tile. Our Spanish tiles have anywhere up to 40 faces to make them look so realistic.
These tiles are a cost effective and maintenance free tiling option. The look of handmade encaustic tiles without the hassles - no sealing required.
